We are looking for a Payroll/Accounting Specialist to assist with payroll preparation of biweekly payroll and daily accounting tasks. The Payroll/Accounting Specialist is able to use Excel with accuracy and efficiency. They are good with numbers and can be trusted with sensitive information. They have great communication skills to interact with colleagues and executives.
Responsibilities:
- Download time clock hours worked for each employee and view for accuracy
- Prepare monthly commission report
- Prepare monthly OT premium report
- Maintain time clock corrections per ticket requests
- Prepare biweekly spreadsheet with vacation requests, terminations, and any additional items to be added to payroll
- Assist with addressing issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors
- Prepare yearly 1094 & 1095 reports
- Run Weekly vendor reports
- Assist accounting department with daily tasks.
- Assist Controller with reports/Audits as needed
- Assist with SAR and CTR Compliance
Skills
- Proven experience as payroll/accounting specialist or manager
- Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices
- Proficient in MS Office with knowledge of Excel
- Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality
- Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
Education & Experience Requirements:
- High School Degree or equivalent.
- Prior experience in Payroll processing and accounting
- BS/BA in business, accounting or relevant field not necessary but a plus
Requirements:
- Must pass drug and background screens.
- Required to have and maintain a valid Texas driver license
