Job Opening: House Parent
Location: Hilton Head Island, SC

Smith Stearns Tennis Academy, one of the nation's top tennis academies, is seeking a compassionate, organized, and responsible House Parent to join our team. This is a live-in, full-time position that plays a vital role in providing daily structure, support, and care to our student-athletes in a safe, family-style residential setting.
Position Overview
As a House Parent, you’ll live in and manage one of our student homes, creating a supportive and nurturing environment that promotes independence, academic focus, and personal growth. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys mentoring young people and being part of a close-knit, mission-driven community.
Key Responsibilities
- Live in and oversee the day-to-day operation of a student residence
- Prepare nutritious meals and manage household grocery shopping
- Provide daily transportation to tennis, school, and activities
- Support and monitor academic routines and schoolwork
- Organize weekend and evening activities and foster a positive group dynamic
- Maintain a clean, safe, and structured home environment
- Serve as a consistent role model and point of contact for students and families
- Report directly to the Director of Admissions & Housing
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $3,000 per month
- Free housing, meals, and all utilities
- Use of an academy vehicle for transportation needs

Time Off
- Scheduled breaks include a half week at Thanksgiving and two weeks during Winter Break
- Additional time off may be requested and approved through our Director of Housing
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
- Responsible, nurturing, and highly organized
- Prior experience in residential life, education, coaching, or youth development preferred
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
- Must pass a background check and be authorized to work in the U.S.
