SUMMARY
Performs Human Resources-related duties and is responsible for some or all of the following functional areas: employee onboarding, recruitment, recognition, and training programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Maintaining employee records, including applications, resumes, and other documents.
- Completing onboarding and offboarding processes for new hires, rehires and departing employees.
- Conduct verification of employment eligibility by examining I-9 documents via Zoom in compliance with federal regulations. Ensure that all documents presented are valid, unexpired, and accurately recorded.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy throughout the verification process, and follow up as needed to resolve discrepancies or request additional documentation.
- Greeting visitors to the department and answering phone calls and inquiries.
- Assisting with all special projects assigned to the HR Team, such as coordination of the annual holiday party and seasonal job fairs.
- Tracking and organizing work-related documents such as Form I-9s, minor working papers, and required training.
- All other duties as assigned.

- Familiarity with computer systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Zoom, and HRIS platforms.
- Ability to research and analyze various types of data and information.
- Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations, or government law.
- Must be able to organize and prioritize work.
- Must be able to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- One to two years of experience in an office environment
OR current college student pursuing an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related field.

- Must be able to periodically lift up to 30 pounds to transport recruitment materials, office supplies, or files.
- Flexibility to work evenings and a few weekends may be required.
