- Client is seeking a detail-oriented Import/Export Agent to support international freight operations. This role involves coordinating shipments, preparing documentation, and ensuring compliance with customs regulations. Ideal for candidates with strong organizational skills and a passion for global logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily operations for ocean and air cargo (import/export)
- Prepare and process delivery orders, shipping labels, and invoices
- Communicate with trucking companies, airlines, steamship lines, and bonded facilities
- Support customs clearance and documentation for brokerage teams
- Monitor billing and accounts receivable
- Maintain relationships with customers and internal branches
- Assist in achieving department revenue and profit goals
- Perform data entry, filing, and ISO audit support as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience in logistics or international freight forwarding preferred
- Familiarity with Incoterms, customs regulations, and import/export procedures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Flexibility to work overtime when needed
