Duties
- Assist in food preparation and cooking according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and bussing tables
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety regulations and standards
- Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality service during meal times, including banquets and special events
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure smooth operations
- Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and report any shortages to management
- Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, including cooking techniques and food preparation methods
- Experience in banquet service or hotel kitchens is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for handling food
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team setting
