About the Role:
At Kerr Surveying, our mission is clear:
“When one person stands to gain over another, the facts must be uncovered.”
That’s not just a guiding principle—it’s the heartbeat of everything we do. We don’t just measure land—we locate boundaries, uncover history, and build trust. Every stake we set and every line we draft is rooted in the pursuit of truth and reality.
As a Kerrveyor-in-Training, you’ll join a skilled field crew conducting boundary, title, topographic, and specialty land surveys across Texas. You’ll learn the ropes from a seasoned Crew Lead, take ownership of your work, and grow into a precision-driven professional.
This is more than a job—it’s a launchpad for a career in surveying, where grit meets geometry and every day brings a new horizon.
Your Path Forward:
Every Kerrveyor-in-Training starts with boots on the ground and eyes on the details. But after six months of proven commitment, precision, and professionalism, you’ll have the opportunity to level up—becoming a full-fledged Kerrveyor.
That means more responsibility, deeper expertise, and a bigger role in our ultimate mission. It’s not just a promotion—it’s a rite of passage.

- Assist in executing boundary, title, topographic, and other land surveys with accuracy and efficiency
- Learn field procedures and responsibilities directly from your Crew Lead—and take initiative to master them
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism, respect, and client interaction
- Stock and inspect your survey vehicle daily—equipment, supplies, data, and readiness are your responsibility
- Operate and maintain survey instruments, data collectors, and field computers
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment
- Record job details, manage timesheets, and produce clean, legible field sketches
- Keep the vehicle, equipment, and supply room in top condition
- Take on additional duties as needed—flexibility is part of the field game
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A diligent work ethic, team-first mindset, and laser-sharp attention to detail
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and walk up to 10 miles per day
- Strength to lift and carry up to 50 pounds of gear
- A valid Texas driver’s license and a commitment to showing up ready
