Summary
HII Mission Technologies is seeking an experienced Electronic Warfare (EW) Mission Coordinator – Section Supervisor to lead the EW Section supporting the Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE) in Coronado, CA.
In this role, you will plan, coordinate, execute, and oversee military training exercises in support of Navy and Marine Corps operational readiness. You’ll supervise a team of EW professionals, manage section resources, and ensure all mission planning, execution, and debrief activities meet operational, technical, and safety standards.
Your expertise will directly contribute to the success of complex warfighting training events, ensuring they are executed effectively, compliant with all rules and regulations, and aligned with fleet training requirements.
What you will do
Lead the EW Section – Supervise and mentor analysts, briefers, and controllers; manage schedules, resources, and readiness.
Plan & Execute Exercises – Coordinate with fleet units and training agencies to design, run, and assess EW/IO and other warfare‑area training events.
Brief & Debrief – Conduct pre‑mission briefs, monitor exercises, record significant events, and deliver impactful post‑mission debriefs using integrated video, audio, and electronic data.
Operate & Oversee Systems – Use EW platforms (including MANPADS and ship/boat‑based systems), communications equipment, and mission data tools; ensure compliance with Navy directives.
Analyze & Report – Review mission performance, create after‑action products, maintain range utilization data, and recommend improvements to training outcomes.
Collaborate Across Teams – Work closely with operators, command staff, and support agencies to ensure effective, safe, and timely execution of missions.
What you must have
5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
Education & Experience (one of the following):
Bachelor’s degree in related field + 5 years relevant experience
Master’s degree in related field + 3 years relevant experience
PhD or JD in related field (no additional experience required)
High school diploma/equivalent + 9 years relevant experience
U.S. citizenship and a current or active DoD Secret clearance (must maintain throughout employment)
Proven military EW/ELINT operational experience, OR Navy Enlisted Classification in EW/IO, OR Military Officer subspecialist designation in AMW, USW, MIW, STW, SUW, or AW
Broad experience in EW/CRY operations or related warfare areas, including exercise planning, scheduling, resource analysis, execution, and post‑mission documentation
Proficiency operating computer‑based systems, analyzing data, and delivering clear, actionable reports and briefings
Familiarity with Navy operational procedures, directives, and training requirements
Willingness to travel (~30%) and work flexible hours, including evening, night and weeend shifts to support exercises.
Preferred Requirements
- SIGINT or Electronic Signals Database Manager background
- Familiarity with signal analysis databases and tools
- Experience with EW/CRY systems such as radar, OTH, satellite, airborne tracking, ESM, ECM, jamming, threat radar simulators, or response monitors
- Supervisory or team lead experience in operational or training environments
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multi‑unit or joint‑force training events
Physical Requirements
Fit for both standard office work and field environments
Ability to lift and operate equipment weighing up to 45 pounds in underway or field conditions
Comfortable working aboard range support boats, in simulator facilities, and on San Clemente Island (including exposure to dust)
Capable of standing, walking, climbing, and operating in varied environmental conditions (including confined spaces and temperature changes) during mission support
