Perspectives Corporation is now hiring a Maintenance Technician to work in our Environmental, Transportation & Safety department!
The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of work in the general maintenance and repair of grounds, office facility, and equipment. Performs related duties and projects as assigned. Reports to the Director of Environmental, Transportation & Safety.
While working in a team, the Maintenance Technician performs general maintenance and repair of residential programs, office facilities and sites; assemble furniture and fixtures; monitor building systems, including boilers, generators, and pumps to ensure safety & efficiency. Diagnoses issues with equipment, systems, and infrastructure, and carries out timely repairs to restore functionality and minimize downtime. Coordinates with other departments, vendors, and contractors to facilitate repairs, improvements, or major maintenance projects.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED equivalent
- Knowledge of machinery and tools, including uses, repair and maintenance
- 5-7 years experience with advanced carpentry and framing techniques, door/window installation, stair/deck/railing installation and repair, plumbing/HVAC repair, and electrical repair
- Ability to operate power equipment such as mowers, tractors, electric clippers, and pruning saws. Ensure that all tools running at optimal performance
- Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what type of maintenance is needed
- Experience in routine electrical repair and installation
- Experience in general plumbing repair
- Able to perform general physical activities
- Must be able to lift, push, pull a minimum of 75 lbs.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, access to an insured vehicle, and a favorable driving record.
- Must have a favorable Criminal Background Check (BCI)
- Knowledge of computer operation and use of smart phone
Desired Qualifications
- Have a working knowledge of all Perspectives Corporation program sites and facilities
- Journeyman/Master Carpenter credentials
- HVAC or EPA Certification
