Albany Management is looking for a Commercial Maintenance Technician to join our team and help maintain our commercial property in downtown Albany.
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance, electrical systems, and mechanical knowledge. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, general building and grounds maintenance (2-3 years preferred)
- Experience with electric, water, and gas turnoffs, clean-out traps, fire extinguishers, fire and alarm systems
- Ability to trouble shoot and repair equipment
- Equipment maintenance
- Perform work orders as scheduled and assigned
- Reliable vehicle and a valid New York state driver’s license
- Ability to speak to tenants and maintain good working relations with other team members, vendors, contractors, etc.
- Must be dependable, experienced and possess a solid work history and references
- Must possess your own Hand tools
- On-call support for afterhours emergencies
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform electrical repairs and installations using tools such as an ohmmeter.
- Fabricate components or parts as required to maintain equipment functionality.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in all maintenance tasks.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.50 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
