This Mobile Equipment Operator receives and stores emergency preparedness equipment and supplies in the supports of LDH and Office of Public Health. This position organizes the three warehouses to ensure stock availability and supplies are matched to the appropriate environment controlled storage units. The selected candidate will operate cargo van, trailers and trucks including transport supplies to regions and other areas as needed.Minimum Qualifications

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Maintain equipment and supply stocks for expiration dates and insure that medical equipment has the required biomedical safety inspections and is in working order. Be able to operate cargo van, trailers and trucks including transport supplies to regions and other areas as needed. Provides preventative maintenance checks of van, trucks and emergency response trailers.
- Operates trucks pulling flatbed trailers. Operates forklifts with lifting capacity of 4,000 lbs. to over 15,000 lbs. and with a height capacity over 12 feet and the ability to refuel forklift.
- Will run auxiliary equipment such compressors, generators, decontamination showers, pallet jacks as asphalt kettle, mud jack, concrete mixer (over two bag capacity), air compressors, jack-hammer, etc. as required.
- Restocks and replenishes warehouse with incoming supplies. Identifies correct bin location and unit issue and restocks bins.
- This position maintains a receipt for record of equipment/supplies that is deployed/assigned to state agencies and partners during a disaster and assist the logistics section in tracking and recovering the material.
- Make minor repairs to equipment and performs user maintenance necessary to keep equipment in clean, good working order.
