Job Title: Optician

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Optician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in optical sales (minimum 3 years), a passion for eyewear, and confidence working with high-end products in a private practice environment. This is a patient-facing role where professionalism, product knowledge, and a fashion-forward sense of style are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide patients in selecting eyewear tailored to their needs, educate them on lens options, and stay current on our frame brands using provided training materials.
- Enter and manage frame and lens orders end-to-end, including fittings, modifications, adjustments, repairs, and tracking to ensure timely delivery and patient satisfaction.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and safeguard patient privacy at all times.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager on inventory, curation, and vendor relations.
- Uphold an elevated patient experience by maintaining optical floor standards and representing Truly Eye Care with a professional, fashion-forward appearance.
- Assist with front desk support (check-ins, phones, scheduling) during peak hours.
- Use RevolutionEHR to navigate patient records, prescriptions, and billing.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of optical sales experience required, with knowledge of lenses and frame fitting.
- Associate’s degree in opticianry, optical science, or licensed optician preferred.
- General knowledge of ophthalmology, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Experience with RevolutionEHR and Weave preferred.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese a plus.
- Highly organized with attention to detail; able to multitask, prioritize, and work both independently and in a team.
