Position Type: Full-Time Compensation: Competitive salary, commensurate with experience and skill level Job Summary: We are a growing law firm seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team full time. This position will support attorneys in the areas of real estate law (including escrow coordination), business and transactional law, and municipal law, particularly as it relates to special service districts. The ideal candidate will also possess strong bookkeeping skills to assist with real estate and attorney accounting needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review real estate documents, deeds, and escrow instructions
- Contract review and drafting under attorney supervision
- Coordinate real estate closings and manage escrow accounts
- Assist with formation, maintenance, and compliance for LLCs, corporations, and other business entities
- Draft resolutions, notices, and filings for municipal clients, especially special service districts
- Maintain organized files and track key deadlines for municipal clients
- Perform basic bookkeeping duties, including tracking escrow accounting, invoice preparation, and reconciliation
- Conduct legal research and compile supporting documentation
- Communicate with clients, title companies, and government agencies professionally and promptly
Qualifications:
- Paralegal certification or equivalent professional experience
- At least 3 years of experience in one or more of the relevant practice areas MANDATORY
- Familiarity with Utah real estate business and municipal law is a strong plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and legal practice management software
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects
- Bookkeeping experience or training required; familiarity with QuickBooks or similar platform preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player in a collaborative law office
