About the Role: Physical Therapy Assistant
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the health, happiness, and daily experience of the residents at Wesley at Home.
This position requires that you are currently licensed as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of Iowa.
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will:
- Support patient assessments and treatment planning under a physical therapist’s supervision to enhance mobility and function.
- Deliver prescribed therapy interventions, including exercises, manual techniques, and modalities.
- Educate patients and families on home programs, body mechanics, and equipment use for continued recovery.
- Collaborate with the care team to track progress, adjust plans, and ensure effective home-based care.
Openings:
Full-Time, Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, on-call rotation
Qualifications:
- Valid Iowa driver’s license
- Current vehicle insurance
- Currently licensed as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of Iowa
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Graduate of a physical therapy assistant program

Experience
Required- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, valid insurance, and clean driving record
- Graduate of a physical therapy assistant program accredited by The Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education, Successor organizations of CAPTE, or An education program outside the United States determined to be substantially equivalent to physical therapist entry-level education in the United States by a credentials evaluation organization approved by the American Physical Therapy Association or an organization identified in 8 CFR 212.15(e) as it relates to physical therapists.
- Currently licensed as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of Iowa
- Ability to pass a pre-hire background check, pre-employment health assessment, and drug screen
- Previous home health or direct patient care experience preferred.
