We are looking for a part time employee for this role. 2-3 days per week. 8-5
- Responsible for contacting patient prior to surgery to gather and confirm information, review labs, EKG’s, etc.
- Document on the anesthesia communication sheet any abnormal labs or EKG’s, BMI, cardiac issues.
- Responsible for having charts complete and in order according to the schedule.
- Contact patients if there is a change in the time of surgery.
- Responsible for putting patient charts together including but not limited: gather appropriate forms, all documentation and lab results.
- Graduate of a Professional School of Nursing.
- Licensed as a RN in the State of Michigan.
- Two years experience working in an outpatient surgical setting preferred.
- Previous experience in med surg or pre-planning screening, or related peri-operative area desirable.
- Current certification in Basic Cardiopulmonary Life Support (BCLS).
- Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard and other office equipment also required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $26.20 - $31.55 per hour
Expected hours: 24 per week
