Prevention Educator
Survivor Resource Center
The Survivor Resource Center (SRC) is seeking a dedicated professional to join our exceptional team as a Prevention Educator. SRC is a nonprofit agency serving survivors of sexual assault and their families/significant others by providing free and confidential counseling, case management and advocacy for survivors and their significant others, as well as violence prevention education and professional training to the community at large.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing community-based violence prevention education on areas such as anti-bullying, body safety, healthy relationships, social-emotional learning, anti-trafficking and more
- Learning and utilizing age-appropriate, evidence-based curriculums
- Developing and delivering education and training programs to diverse audiences
- Provides professional training to area organizations and community groups
- Conducting outreach activities in the community
- Assisting in planning, organizing and participating in events
- Contributing to the work of the Violence Prevention Task Force
- Helping to build positive relationships and working collaboratively with partner agencies and organizations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Services or other relevant field required
- Teaching or public speaking experience required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to multi-task.
- Work well with others in an office atmosphere and contribute to a positive environment
- Be dedicated to the mission of the organization
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

The Survivor Resource Center is seeking a dedicated professional to join our exceptional team as a Prevention Educator. The individual suited to this position enjoys public speaking and working with children and adolescents, is dedicated to preventing violence in our community, and understands the importance of and contributes to a positive and supportive work environment. The ideal candidate values communication, integrity, authenticity, and can work both independently and collaboratively within a group. Regular working hours are 8am-4pm M-F, however this position requires some evening and weekend hours to accommodate presentation requests and attend events. Limited on call rotation time is required. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation as the position involves frequent travel. Salary range $45,000-$55,000 commensurate with education and experience.
