- Design digital user interfaces, create graphics, and design new experiences or layouts that evolve and/or define visual systems for VR based applications and technologies with a focus on aesthetics and design.
- Take broad, conceptual ideas and create design flows and experiences that are incredibly simple and elegant for supported platforms.
- Partner with product managers, engineers, UX researchers and content strategists to iterate and oversee user experience of a product from conception to launch while considering the technical limitations driven by the hardware or the platform.
- Give and solicit feedback from other designers in order to continually raise our bar for quality.
- Work on problems of significant scope and ambiguity where analysis of situations or data requires review of a variety of factors.
- Understand 3D and spatial concepts from a technical and experiential perspective leveraging understanding or perceptual science for Mixed and Virtual Reality.
- Requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or a related field and three years of work experience in the job offered or a computer-related occupation.
- Requires three years of experience in the following:
- 1. Building and shipping applications or software at the level of whole features or products across a variety of platforms
- 2. Interaction design, including defining how an experience should behave based on understanding people's needs
- 3. Prototyping
- 4. Visual design, including typography, motion, desktop or mobile user interface, color, layout, and iconography
- 5. Understanding product goals, identifying opportunities, and making decisions based on the impact to internal and external users
- 6. Creating user flow and mockups to articulate design concepts
- 7. Defining product specifications and user experiences
- 8. Understanding and interpreting user research, data and usability testing and
- 9. Conducting end-to-end design process across multiple projects including interaction, visual design artifacts, and high-fidelity prototypes of 2D and 3D elements.
$212,368/year to $223,850/year + bonus + equity + benefits
