Job description
Key Responsibilities:
Manufacturing Engineering background
- Develop, improve, and maintain manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure product quality.
- Analyze workflow, layout, and production methods to recommend improvements using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma tools.
- Collaborate with design and quality teams to resolve technical issues and implement engineering changes.
- Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives, including cost reduction, productivity, and safety projects.
- Maintain and update work instructions, standard operating procedures, and process documentation.
Operations Leadership
- Supervise daily production operations to ensure output goals are met for quality, quantity, and schedule.
- Lead and motivate a team of production personnel; handle scheduling, coaching, and performance management.
- Monitor production metrics (e.g., efficiency, downtime, scrap rate) and take corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate daily production meetings, problem-solving sessions, and team communications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, root cause analysis, and process improvement tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Proficient in using ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite; CAD and data analysis skills are a plus.
- Hands-on, pragmatic, and comfortable working on the production floor.
Preferred Skills:
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean certification.
- Experience in a small or mid-sized manufacturing company.
- Familiarity with ISO or other quality management systems.

Pay: $89,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
