Job Description
The Project Manager is accountable for leadership and management of existing and new incremental medical services projects and initiatives that ensure the successful execution of these programs and advance the government sector business opportunities. Working in close cooperation with the Government Services leadership in the U.S., the wider Government Services Team and the Medical Services business Line and regional operations team, and other relevant entities from across the Group. The Project Manager must maintain open communication regarding all matters relating to Government Services business, leadership and management of key projects, a leading role in overall business development efforts for new projects and maintain a positive working relationship with this broad group of administrative and delivery stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Works closely with, and when required on behalf of, the General Manager (GM) on all matters relating to Government Services business within the region in a manner consistent with International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. vision and core values.
- Lead the business development of government sector opportunities worldwide for all lines of services and products, as directed by the GM.
- Manage global teams and actively engage with the leadership of each project, including operationally on the ground as required.
- Participate in the development and implementation of a strategic business plan for key government sector entities, countries or institutions worldwide.
- Identify potential clients in the target market and complete appropriate research on the prospective client’s needs.
- Develop awareness and preference for medical solutions in government marketplaces through communication and education initiatives, and participation in symposiums and networking events.
- Act as point of contact for government clients with which a relationship is developed or maintained, in coordination with the GM.
- Provide leadership in the region and sector on initiatives that drive the identification and development of new business in the region with both new and existing government clients, as directed by the GM.
- Provide leadership and project management of proposals and marketing materials for government clients, ensuring input and endorsement from appropriate regional and group stakeholders, as directed by the GM.
- Be prepared to support and provide additional capacity (remotely or directly) of other entities within the Government Services Division with the development of opportunities.
- Ensures all assigned proposals and marketing materials are aligned with International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. standards for medical services and clinic operations, Government Services messaging, and meet contract terms.
- Prepares proposals and bid documentation, in whole or in collaboration with other stakeholders and subject matter experts, on government sector opportunities.
- Leads by example in working closely with the GM to ensure standards are met and exceeded on a regular basis.
- Fosters and maintains positive and effective working relationships with all other Government Services and Group stakeholders.
- Ensures the appropriate escalation procedures are followed for questions, clarifications, etc.
- Assists Contracts & Compliance team in the writing of all technical aspects of any contracts, Requests for Proposals or pre-qualification matters.
- To educate and train relevant staff on the appropriate theoretical and practiced decision making processes within the government services sector.
- Completes required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.

Required Competencies:

Required Work Experience:
- Proven success leading and contributing as a technical project/program manager in diverse projects ranging in scale from local to global impact.
- Must have previously supervised or managed direct reports.
- Exposure to, and preferably operating experience in, government systems, such as those of the U.S. DoD, U.S. DoS, working with large Prime Contractors, and potentially serving other entities; United Nations, NATO, at a managerial and client engagement level.
- Experience and demonstrated success in working in a cross-border, international, matrix structure organization.
- Experience delivering complex solutions, working with Prime Contractors, serving global government entities in a fast-moving, global, 24/7 environment.
- Experience of living/working globally, and in an emerging, remote markets, or conflict zones, would be an advantage.
Education Required:
- Undergraduate degree, or equivalent professional certification and experience.
- Previous U.S. Government clearances would be a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
- Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
- May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs.
Other Special Qualifications:
- Must be able to read, write & speak English to effectively communicate.
- Travel as required both domestically and internationally.
- Must have the ability for spontaneous travel.
- Must have a valid passport and ability to obtain visas as necessary.

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
