Who You Are:
You are a highly motivated professional ready to join the Construction and Facilities Management team to help provide and promote a safe and comfortable environment for agency employees. You are a self-starter skilled in project management, quality assurance, report generation, a problem solver, and a team player.


What you Will Do:
The Project Manager II moderately performs complex (journey-level) project management work. Work involves the planning and initiation of projects at various level of completion: monitoring the progress and schedule. May train others. Works under general supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.


You Will be Trusted To:
  • Coordinate, plan, and evaluate projects using accepted project management methodologies.
  • Coordinate project activities with other state agencies, governmental jurisdictions or private sector partners and contractors.
  • Review and recommend proposals and bids to management.
  • Monitor and manage project quality to ensure project deliverables are acceptable, fulfill the terms of the project contract or specifications, and are completed within budget.
  • Identify potential risks and difficulties and designs strategies to mitigate and avoid them.
  • Communicate project methodology and processes to interested groups and team members.
  • Initiate project, obtain authorization and commitment, and demonstrate business need and project feasibility.
  • Develop criteria for evaluating programs, proposals and other pertinent information related to project assignments.
  • Develop budgets, schedules, work plans, resource requirements, and cost estimates and projections.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

You Qualify With:
  • Three years of full-time experience in project management work, business analysis, or project administration; or three years of full-time experience in the oversight of an agency program or in strategic planning and policy implementation.
  • Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position.
