Job Title: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner- (08202025CAFP)

Availability: Part-Time (Flexible, typically Monday through Friday)
A collaborative psychiatrist in Birmingham, Alabama is currently seeking a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join their team in providing high-quality mental health services to a wide age range of patients?from children (age 3) to older adults (age 80). This role offers a mix of on-site and telehealth services, allowing flexibility for the right candidate.
About the Role:
You will work closely with a supervising physician to provide care across a broad range of psychiatric conditions, including:
ADHD
Depression
Anxiety
Substance use disorders
Family and couples therapy
The EMR used is ICANotes, which is also utilized for e-prescribing.
Start date is around late October to early November.
Specific Duties:
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-ups
Perform nursing assessments and medication evaluations
Prescribe medications and monitor treatment plans
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in ICANotes
Collaborate with the supervising physician as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
PMHNP license to practice in Alabama
Master?s or Doctorate degree from an accredited nursing program
At least 1 year of clinical experience as a PMHNP
Strong clinical and interpersonal skills
Experience with mental health diagnosis and treatment
Experience with alcohol/substance use disorders is a plus
