Design Estimator
14 West LLC, a leader in manufacturing displays and exhibits, has an opening for a Design Estimator in our Engineering Dept.
This part-time position can be between 16 to 30 hours per week depending on work load. You can chose fixed hours/days or work a flexible schedule Monday - Friday (between 7am and 5pm).
The successful candidate for this position will have experience in estimating with a strong mechanical aptitude. Previous experience in carpentry, metal fabrication or display manufacturing experience preferred.
Core Responsibilities:
- Based on input from the design team and customer, create initial rough design of display concept for estimating.
- Estimate project costs and work with outside vendors for any outsourced components.
- Populate ERP system (JobBoss) with all costs associated with the materials and routing steps.
- Communicate with team to clarify design objectives.
- Utilize, select and assign materials and design concepts that provide the manufacturability, performance and quality requirements as needed.
- Assure all estimates are completed in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Computer experience including MS Office and ERP systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with employees and customers at all levels
- Energetic, friendly personality
- Motivated and driven to achieve goals
- Strong organization skills
- Must be able to work independently and organize estimates
- Ability to multi-task and plan/prioritize workload
- Ability to make timely and informed decisions when escalated issues need to be resolved

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
