Role Summary:
The Remarketing Auction Supervisor will manage all aspect of vehicle processing from vehicle entry until the vehicle is available for sale, post-sale processing, and ensuring vehicles are available for delivery. The position requires the management of multiple auctions and supervisory oversight. The position is required to have an in-depth knowledge of auction processing, technical repairs, and vehicle sales. Position is responsible for ensuring all quality, internal compliance and laws are accurately followed with the sale of vehicles. Responsible for proper management of auction specialist at each location. The ability to lead and train teams in processing requirements to ascertain whether vehicles should be repaired verses being disclosed. Cross-collaborative discussion is required to ensure vehicle values are maximized. The position is responsible for generating additional revenue or benefits to grow the VCI operation and support the Audi/VW Brands.

Role Responsibilities:
NAR Remarketing Auction Sale
Role is accountable for leading all NAR Remarketing auction vehicle processing to ensure vehicle sales are expeditated. Communication and alignment of all auctions to ensure vehicle processing are aligned to quality standards. Maximize proceeds by balancing vehicle processing quality needs to velocity of asset sales. Maintain a team environment with multiple auction locations. Ensure local vendors are managed properly. Continually investigate procedures to optimize throughput at auction locations to increase sales velocity.
Duties include:
· Maximize proceeds of vehicle sales
· Ensure timely sale of vehicles
· Oversight of team to ensure vehicles are being properly repaired
· Vendor management of multiple vendors
· Ensure staff at each location remains trained
· Decision making on technical repairs
· Duties required per management
NAR Remarketing Sales Revenue
This position will be responsible for generating additional revenue for VCI by wholesaling franchised & non-franchised dealer, vendors, rental agencies vehicles. Each auction may be required to assist with wholesaling units that arrive at the auction under VCI control. These programs are referred to as “Remarketing as a Service, ReMarketplace, and Fleet Remarketing Service. Growth of vehicle processing and sales operations outside of standard lease return vehicles to reduce VWGoA expenses while increasing VCI revenue.
Duties include:
· ReMarketPlace (90%) – A revenue producing initiative that allows VCI to wholesale dealer inventory digitally and physical. The manager will be responsible for ensuring regional dealer wholesale needs are met through working directly with VCI & Brand field teams and dealers. They will have to train and continually communicate with their auction specialists to ensure local dealer wholesale needs are met.
· Dynamic bidding (10%)– A process where dealers can submit adjustments to upstream pricing and the manager needs to review the adjustment reasons for approving or rejecting the offer. Proper adherence to this process allows VCI to reduce expenses in vehicle movement while providing a service to the franchised dealer
· Support other departments within the group in their vehicle processing, preparation, technical repair needs.
NAR Remarketing Departmental Initiatives
Support, plan, execute and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget; coordinate the efforts with local staff and vendors to projects according to plan
Duties include:
· Collaboration with senior management, multiple internal and external depts.
· Develop full-scale project plans for local implementation of programs
· Delivering upon strategic change that enhance VWGoA and VCI business model.
· Assist with future strategies relating to new initiatives
VCI/VCCI Remarketing Leadership Support
Support leadership initiative goals and strategies. Provide strategic insights to technical operations.
Duties include:
· Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management.
· Support Communication and Marketing Special with departmental needs
· Assist with departmental actions as needed
Qualifications
Experience:
· 7 - 10 years professional auction automotive experience overall
· 5+ year wholesaling vehicles at auction(s)
· 5+ year experience technical capacity at auction(s)
· 3+ year experience in auction parts inventory management
· 3+ years leadership experience with a direct report or managing auction vendor(s)
· Proficient in process optimization and streamlining vehicle flow
· Technical understanding of vehicles repairs
· Maintaining velocity processing requirements
· Maximize proceeds
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and equivalent years of experience
