Now, we're looking for an energetic and ambitious Sales Development Representative (Player/ Coach) to join our growing team and play a key role in building relationships with institutions and decision-makers who are passionate about student success.
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A HYBRID ROLE...AT LEAST 1 Days a month in the office. The office is located in West Warick, RI.
Please note as a Player / Coach you will be responsible for selling within your assigned territory as well as helping out with some of the new SDRs.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect and Qualify Leads: Identify potential customers through research, outreach, and social selling. Use tools like LinkedIn, HubSpot, and ZoomInfo to build targeted lists and segment leads.
- Initiate Contact: Reach out via email, phone, and social channels to engage prospects. You'll craft compelling messaging that resonates with higher ed professionals and communicates the company’s value.
- Set Appointments: Book discovery calls and demos for our Account Executives. You'll be the first touchpoint in building meaningful client relationships.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with Marketing to align campaigns and messaging. Share insights with Sales and Product teams to improve our approach and offerings.
- Track and Measure: Manage your pipeline and activities in HubSpot CRM, ensuring accurate data entry and reporting.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in a sales development, business development, or similar client-facing role (EdTech or SaaS preferred, but not required)
- Strong communicator – confident on the phone, clear in writing, and able to build rapport quickly
- Self-starter – you take initiative, manage your time effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced remote environment
- Mission-driven – excited by our vision of creating equitable access to career opportunities
- Tech-savvy – comfortable with CRM tools, email sequencing platforms, and researching prospects online
Base salary of $60,000 plus commissions...OTE first year will be around $80K
