The Sales Manager will play a critical role in driving growth by leading, motivating, and developing our sales team. This individual will ensure alignment across team members, provide accountability, and maintain momentum toward company goals. The Sales Manager will work closely with leadership to execute sales strategies, secure new accounts, and expand our presence in key markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and mentor sales representatives to achieve monthly and annual sales goals.
- Provide ongoing training, feedback, and professional development.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer focus.
- Sales Strategy & Execution
- Drive new business development with a goal of adding 5+ new accounts per month.
- Identify and pursue opportunities in target verticals, markets, and accounts.
- Support team members in closing complex deals and strategic accounts.
- Performance Management
- Establish clear sales metrics, track performance, and report progress to leadership.
- Implement systems to keep the sales team organized, efficient, and aligned.
- Motivate the team to exceed gross profit targets and revenue goals.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with operations, finance, and project management to ensure smooth handoff and successful client delivery.
- Collaborate with the President and CFO to align financial targets and business strategies.
Qualifications
- Proven success as a Sales Manager or senior sales professional in commercial furniture, interiors, or related B2B industries.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse personalities (including “big producers,” “steady operators,” and “smart but strong-willed team members”).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
