About the job
Summary: The Sales representative is responsible to grow and develop the sales and margins of Stone and Surfaces products with Fabricators and K&Bs located within an assigned geographic territory in Texas and surrounding states . The products include Granite , Marble , Quartzite , Engineered Quartz and more in full slab format .
The duties and responsibilities are as follows:
- Develop relationships with current customers and potential customers within a specific assigned territory.
- Assist customers by providing knowledge and training company products to their store personnel, to ensure personnel can present products and negotiate well with consumers.
- Understand our products, analyze market competition, and how to position products to overcome these factors.
- Effectively manage displays, samples, and sales tools to ensure customer accessibility and maximize sales opportunities.
- Quote prices, discuss credit terms and prepare sales contracts for customer orders.
- Estimate the date of delivery to the customer, based on knowledge of the company’s delivery schedules.
- Review and analyze various sales reports to identify sales potential with current and potential new customers.
- Research and analyze customer needs and demands based on market information.
- Investigate and resolve customer claims/problems with deliveries, returns and credits.
- Travel 40% - 70% locally.
- Perform additional duties as required and or requested.
Additionally, the candidate must meet the following Education and/or Experience requirements:
- A high school Diploma is required, and further education is beneficial.
- Minimum of 2 years of related Stone / Fabrication industry experience; natural stone, slab or challenging flooring industries.
- Minimum 2 years of outside B2B sales experience
- Must be results-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Willing to travel up to 75% of the time Industry experience highly preferred; Countertop, Distribution and Building Materials Sales experience preferred.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills
- Good communication and people skills
- Confidence and motivation to work toward targets
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well alone or within a team
- Being bilingual in SPANISH or PORTUGUESE is definitely a plus.

Pay: $54,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
