Position: Service Desk Attendant
Position Type: Full time, up to 40 hours weekly
Starting Wage: $16.53/hour + Excellent Benefits
Location: Sandpoint Branch Library w/intermittent travel between branches
Schedule: Must be available to be scheduled between 8am-7pm Monday-Friday

The East Bonner County Library District is looking for a friendly, tech-savvy, and service-oriented individual to join our team as a Service Desk Attendant at the Sandpoint Library. As one of the first faces our patrons see, you’ll play a vital role in connecting our community with library services, resources, and programs. If you enjoy working with people, staying organized, and growing your skills, this could be your perfect fit!
What You’ll Do:
- Greet and assist patrons at the service desk
- Check materials in and out, handle renewals, and process fees
- Keep shelves in order and collections well-maintained
- Assist with basic tech support (computers, devices, self-checkout)
- Answer general questions and connect patrons to staff when needed
- Occasionally work at our beautiful Clark Fork branch
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong customer service skills and a welcoming attitude
- Comfort using computers and a willingness to learn new tech
- Ability to stay focused, organized, and efficient—even with repetitive tasks
- Good communication skills and a team mindset
- Physical ability to handle books, carts, and movement throughout the day
- Bonus if you have prior experience in a public-facing role or love helping people find answers!
