We are Diesel South, a family-run Diesel Repair company in Garden City, GA. With the growing industry in the area, we are looking to expand our staff with a Service Writer./Office Admin. We value teamwork and strive to maintain a happy work environment. The ideal candidate will be competent in prioritizing and working with little supervision. They will be self-motivated and trustworthy. This role ensures the smooth running of our company’s office and works closely with the Owner-Operators in various task.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, schedule repairs, address complaints.
- Support Service Manager and Technicians with daily needs.
- Prepare invoices, daily reports, memos and other documents
· Answer telephones, direct calls and take messages
· Obtain authorization for all credit card payments and process credit card, cash, and charge account payments.
· Write up customer, truck and service information into our database.
· Track service progress by updating database when Technician check-in
· Work closely with technician throughout service to ensure work is performed in a timely and cost-effective manner
· Order and Receive parts and enter invoices into corresponding service order
· Maintain and update files, Inventory and database
- Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies and receiving parts for open orders.
- Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and email.
- Responsible for cash drawer/petty cash.
- Maintain a clean and organized office area.
Skills
· The ability to communicate the work performed in a knowledgeable and detailed manner.
· Strong written and verbal communication.
· Proven customer service
“ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) with the ability to create, edit, and manage documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.”
*Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Drive, Sheets, etc.) and Google Chrome, with the ability to create, edit, and organize documents efficiently.”
· High school diploma or higher education required
