Position Details:
This is a supervisory position designed to oversee, guide, train, and support direct support professionals in a transitional housing environment. Our service populations are individuals in the early stages of recovery from chemical and alcohol dependency, co-occurring disorders, serious mental illness, and homelessness. The main role of a Facility Attendant Shift Supervisor is to prioritize the safety of the individuals living in the program, by ensuring all direct support professionals working on their shift understand and are performing their job duties. The Facility Attendant Shift Supervisor will also be responsible for communicating any issues or incidents that happen on their shift to the Program Director.
- Oversee the overall operations on their respective shift
- Provide monthly supervision to Facility Attendants
- Communication with referral sources/payers including completion of requested documentation in a timely manner.
- Implement policy and procedures as directed by the Program Director or Merakey corporate office and ensure compliance.
- Ensure that Facility Attendant processes are effective, and provide case consultations when requested
- Reporting issues and concerns immediately to Program Director
- Follow Merakey Policy and Wellness Village Procedures for incident reporting and participation in the incident review process.
- Ensure a safe, harassment free and culturally competent work environment.
- Assist Program Directror and Clinical Staff in the development of social activities for residents.
- Communicating local policies and procedures to staff and ensure that staff is providing services within the framework of local operating procedures.
- Assigning replacement staff and ensuring appropriate coverage is present on their shift.
- Monitoring and ensuring staff trainings are completed.
- Participation in workgroups as needed.
- May be asked to perform additional duties as discussed and assigned by the Program Director or Clinical Staff.

QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Valid Driver's License Required.
- 18 years old minimum required
- Prior experience in Mental Health Residential or Drug and Alcohol treatment setting is preferred
- Interpersonal, Teamwork, and Problem-Solving Skills: Important for collaboration and effective communication.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Avatar.
- Stress Management: Ability to manage stress and make decisions under pressure.
