Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Team Leader to oversee our solar installation projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical work, construction, and team management. This role requires hands-on experience with high and low voltage systems, as well as the ability to read blueprints and schematics. The Solar Team Leader will ensure that installations are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of solar installers in the installation of solar energy systems on residential and commercial properties.
- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards during all installations.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to execute installation plans accurately.
- Manage the installation of fixtures, including solar panels, inverters, and electrical connections.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various installation tasks.
- Conduct site assessments to determine optimal installation strategies while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Oversee the use of forklifts for transporting materials on construction sites as needed.
- Collaborate with other trades such as plumbing and roofing to ensure seamless project execution.
- Train and mentor team members on best practices for solar installation and safety procedures.
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial electrician or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of high voltage and low voltage electrical systems.
- Familiarity with construction site environments and safety regulations.
- Experience with fixture installation, including solar equipment, is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics is essential.
- Previous experience working with hand tools, power tools, and forklifts is required.
