Surgery Scheduler Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Surgery Scheduler to join our dynamic team at Urologic Surgeons of Arizona . The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating surgical appointments, ensuring seamless communication between patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and confirm surgical appointments for patients, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.
- Review patient files and documentation to verify eligibility and prepare for procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns regarding their surgical procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of all scheduled surgeries and patient interactions in the clinic's computerized system.
- Collaborate with dental professionals to coordinate surgery times and ensure all necessary resources are available.
- Stay updated on clinic policies, procedures, and any changes in scheduling protocols.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role within a mediCal clinic is preferred.
- Proficiency in using CGM WebPractice or similar EMR software systems for scheduling and documentation.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for managing multiple schedules simultaneously.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to surgical procedures is a plus.
- Must be comfortable using computers for scheduling and documentation tasks.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
