This position is a member of our North Central & West Texas Division.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Direct and supervise staff, and plan and coordinate activities; review and approve technical reports.
- Schedule, coordinate, and monitor the progress of program work plan elements.
- Participate in hiring team members; develop performance plans and appraise the performance of assigned staff.
- Advise Section Manager of work plans, resource status, and significant team issues.
- Provide technical/program input for the development of policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Provide and/or assure outreach and technical assistance is provided to the general public, the regulated community, media and government officials concerning policy and technical issues.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with PST and ER issues.
- Experience reviewing, such as proofreading or quality reviewing, technical papers (such as investigation reports and/or research papers).
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Experience in the administration of a program relevant to assignment.
OR
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in a field relevant to assignment.
Employees in this classification series may research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure, including but not limited to a communication infrastructure system, cybersecurity system, electric grid, hazardous waste treatment system, or water treatment facility. See Tex. Business & Commerce Code Section 117.001(2). Accordingly, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure is a requirement to be hired for and to continue to be employed with TCEQ.”

Work Schedule
Standard business hours are M-F, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Individual and work group schedule determined by the TCEQ Dallas Region Office.
