We are seeking a reliable and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong customer service orientation and the ability to handle various towing situations with professionalism and efficiency. As a Tow Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles, providing roadside assistance, and ensuring customer satisfaction during each interaction.
Duties
- Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and wheel-lift models, to transport vehicles safely.
- Conduct automotive diagnostics to assess vehicle conditions before towing.
- Load and unload vehicles with care, ensuring no damage occurs during the process.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing their concerns.
- Manage conflicts calmly and professionally when dealing with distressed customers.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, including vehicle information and incident reports.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on towing equipment to ensure safety standards are met.
- Assist in roadside assistance tasks as needed, including jump-starts, tire changes, and fuel delivery.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is preferred; a clean driving record is essential.
- Experience in automotive repair or diagnostics is a plus.
- Strong conflict management skills to handle challenging situations effectively.
- Familiarity with forklift operation may be beneficial for specific towing scenarios.
- Previous experience in customer service roles is highly desirable.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that involve standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in various weather conditions.
