Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to customer service and safety while efficiently handling various towing and roadside assistance tasks. This role requires the ability to operate different types of tow trucks, including flatbed models, and perform automotive diagnostics as needed.
Duties
- Operate tow trucks safely and efficiently to transport vehicles in need of assistance.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during stressful situations.
- Perform automotive diagnostics and minor repairs when necessary to ensure vehicles are roadworthy before towing.
- Load and unload vehicles from tow trucks, ensuring proper securing techniques to prevent damage.
- Manage conflicts with customers calmly and professionally, providing solutions that meet their needs.
- Maintain accurate records of services rendered and vehicle conditions during each tow.
- Conduct regular inspections of the tow truck to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with tow trucks or similar vehicles.
- Familiarity with automotive repair processes and diagnostics is preferred.
- Previous experience in customer service roles is highly valued, as well as conflict management skills.
- Ability to operate forklifts is a plus for loading and unloading tasks.
- A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required for this position.
- A great understanding of the local area.
