Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Utility Line Locator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately identifying and marking underground utility lines to ensure safe excavation and construction activities. Your expertise will play a crucial role in preventing damage to utilities and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough utility line locating using specialized equipment and techniques.
- Read and interpret blueprints and maps to identify utility locations.
- Mark the location of utilities clearly and accurately on-site.
- Collaborate with construction teams to provide guidance on safe excavation practices.
- Perform field service tasks, including inspections and assessments of utility lines.
- Maintain accurate records of utility locations and any relevant site conditions.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols while working on construction sites.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading to interpret utility layouts effectively.
- Experience in field service operations related to utility locating.
- Familiarity with utility locating technologies and methodologies.
- Experience in cabling installation or maintenance is a plus.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety regulations.
- Previous experience as a service technician is advantageous.
