We are looking for a part-time to full-time Veterinary CSR. We are a small, but busy full service veterinary hospital located in beautiful Tully, NY. We treat dogs, cats, pocket pets, sheep, and goats. New grads or experienced vet techs are welcome to apply. Applicants should have a flexible schedule when additional coverage is needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Communication and Service:
- Greeting clients and pets warmly, creating a comfortable environment.
- Answering phone calls and emails, providing information and support.
- Handling inquiries from clients and veterinarians.
- Addressing client concerns and providing compassionate care.
- Appointment Management:
- Scheduling appointments, consultations, and procedures.
- Managing appointment schedules and ensuring smooth client flow.
- Confirming appointments and sending reminders.
- Record Keeping and Documentation:
- Maintaining accurate client and patient records.
- Preparing new client records and updating existing ones.
- Ensuring proper documentation in electronic medical records.
- Financial Transactions:
- Processing payments for services and products.
- Issuing invoices and managing accounts.
- Basic Pet Care and Assistance:
- Checking in animals and preparing them for examination.
- Assisting with basic pet care tasks, such as feeding or walking dogs.
- Preparing exam rooms and managing the waiting room.
- Retail and Inventory:
- Encouraging retail sales of pet supplies and medications.
- Monitoring inventory levels and assisting with orders.
- Other Administrative Tasks:
- Answering phones, taking messages, and managing mail.
- Assisting with cleaning and maintaining the reception area.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the veterinarian or clinic manager.
Skills and Qualities:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Computer proficiency, including experience with veterinary practice management software.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently.
