VICE PRESIDENT OF ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE

JOB SUMMARY :
The Vice President of Accounting and Finance will direct and oversee the corporation's financial activities, direct the preparation of current financial reports and summaries, create and maintain departmental budgets, and develop financial forecasts for future growth.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Oversees the Accounting and Finance department, budget preparation, and audit functions
- Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, governmental agency reports, and manages 3rd party relationships (e.g., CPA firms, lenders)
- Compares actual revenues and expenses to budgeted and forecasted revenues and expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets
- Reviews monthly and annual financial planning processes and works with the CEO to strategize and improve current methods based on corporate goals and objectives
- Analyzes operations to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing, or elimination
- Studies short- and long-term economic trends and projects their potential impact on future growth in sales and marketing
- Oversees investment of funds and, when needed, works with investment bankers to raise additional capital required for expansion
- Maintains consistent and professional attendance, appearance, and punctuality, and adheres to health and safety standards

- Other related duties may be necessary and assigned from time to time, and will not change the scope of the job
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance
- Certified Public Accountant (“CPA”) designation preferred
- Eight to ten years of financial management experience required
- Must exhibit a high level of trustworthiness and be able to maintain confidentiality
- Strong organizational skills with acute attention to detail and accuracy
- Must possess good citizenship traits when dealing with customers and co-workers
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Must possess superb teamwork skills and be able to navigate diverse personalities successfully
