Job Summary
This part-time position supports a contract for Wakulla County, FL Information Technology (IT) Services. The Customer Account Manager (Secondary) supports the lead Account Manager in managing client communications, hardware lifecycle coordination, vendor engagement, and long-term IT planning. This is a remote role, ideal for a developing professional with a foundational background in IT and client support, seeking experience in strategic account management.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist with the procurement process for hardware, including laptops, desktops, and peripherals.
- Support hardware installations, configurations, upgrades, and asset lifecycle tracking.
- Help maintain inventory records and assist with warranty and service request coordination.
- Serve as a liaison with third-party vendors to support software and service issues.
- Contribute to the development of IT and cybersecurity strategic plans with County staff.
- Assist with preparing IT budget recommendations and forecasting upgrade needs.
- Support planning and documentation for the County’s VOIP modernization efforts.
- Participate in evaluating and consolidating telecom solutions while supporting legacy landline services.
- Provide responsive communication and follow-through to ensure high client satisfaction.
Qualifications and Skills
- 1–3 years of experience in IT support, client relations, or account coordination.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferred).
- Working knowledge of hardware procurement and basic IT infrastructure.
- Familiarity with VOIP systems and basic telecom operations.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- CCSP or similar customer service certification preferred.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a strategic account management role.
