GRC Specialist - Cybersecurity & Operational Technology
Job description
We are seeking an experienced Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Specialist to support a Queensland Government agency operating in a complex, safety-critical environment.
Working within the Security Standards Unit, you will support the development and implementation of a unified Information Security Management System (ISMS) across IT and Operational Technology (OT). You will translate security requirements into practical policies, standards and processes, supported by risk assessments, assurance activities and compliance reporting.
- Six-month initial contract based in Brisbane CBD
- Shape security policies and governance across IT and operational technology
- Offering up to $125 per hour inclusive of Supperannuation, 38 hrs week
Key responsibilities
- Develop security policies, standards and ISMS documentation.
- Conduct IT/OT risk assessments and security control reviews.
- Support compliance with ISO 27001, Essential Eight, IEC 62443 and Queensland Government security frameworks.
- Coordinate governance reporting, vendor assurance and stakeholder engagement.
About you
- Proven cybersecurity GRC, ISMS and policy development experience.
- Understanding of OT, electronic security or critical infrastructure environments.
- Strong writing skills and confidence working with technical, operational and senior stakeholders.
- Government experience and ISO 27001 certifications are highly regarded.
