As we continue our technology transformation journey, we're seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our high-performing Technology Operations team. This is an opportunity to work across a diverse enterprise environment, influence key infrastructure decisions and contribute to projects that modernise and strengthen our national technology landscape.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Technology Operations, you'll be a senior technical specialist responsible for the design, support and continual improvement of Virtus Health's infrastructure environment.

You'll work across a broad range of technologies including Microsoft Azure, VMware, enterprise networking, storage, backup and disaster recovery solutions, while acting as an escalation point for complex technical issues and infrastructure projects.

This role offers a blend of operational support, project delivery and strategic infrastructure improvement.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, implement and support enterprise infrastructure solutions.
• Manage Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environments.
• Support VMware virtualisation, server infrastructure, storage and backup platforms.
• Lead the resolution of complex infrastructure incidents and technical challenges.
• Deliver infrastructure upgrades, migrations and transformation initiatives.
• Contribute to security, resilience and disaster recovery improvements.
• Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to deliver reliable and secure services.
• Mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge across the team.

About You

You'll be a hands-on Infrastructure Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems and taking ownership of outcomes.

You'll bring:

• Strong experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Expertise across Microsoft Windows Server, VMware and Azure.
• Experience with enterprise networking, storage and backup technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience delivering infrastructure projects and platform upgrades.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to work autonomously.

Experience with technologies such as Veeam, NetApp, Juniper, Aruba and PowerShell will be highly regarded.
