Our client is a private equity-backed infrastructure organisation. We are looking for an Interim Head of Technology for a 6 month engagement, based in Sydney. The role will focus on the optimisation of their core technology platforms and support continued growth.

The Role

This role will own the IT roadmap and budget and lead the delivery of technology programs that support the business through its growth, including process optimisation and readiness for the divestment of systems. You will be responsible for enterprise systems, data and reporting, cybersecurity and managed services, overseeing external IT providers in the day-to-day delivery of these.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the IT roadmap and budget and report progress to the executive team.
  • Scope and deliver technology projects, from business case and vendor selection through to implementation.
  • Manage the NetSuite environment, including administration, custom development, enhancements and integrations.
  • Maintain the data warehouse and Power BI reporting, and mature business analytics across all divisions.
  • Manage the managed services provider relationship and lead the transition to in-house IT support.
  • Run the cybersecurity program, including penetration testing, SSO and controls, and close out remediation actions.
  • Lead AI governance and adoption and deliver the AI roadmap across the business.
What You'll Bring

  • Proven hands-on experience as a Head of Technology or Chief Technology Officer in a small to medium-sized business.
  • Experience optimising existing platforms as well as selection and implementation of new systems.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite, including administration and integrations.
  • Experience with data platforms and reporting, such as Power BI, Snowflake or Azure Data Factory.
  • Experience managing MSPs and vendor relationships.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and commercial contracts.
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity and IT risk, and exposure to AI governance and adoption in a business setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with executives and non-technical staff.
This is a 6 month interim position. To be eligible, you must be immediately available or on short notice and have full Australian work rights without restrictions for the duration of the contract.
