Job description

About Alliance Airlines

Alliance Airlines is Australasia’s leading provider of contract, charter, and allied aviation services. With a fleet of 79 aircraft and a workforce of over 1,500 employees, Alliance delivers essential aviation solutions to the mining, energy, and government sectors, as well as wet lease services to major carriers.

Alliance’s success is underpinned by a safety‑first culture, long‑term customer partnerships, and a commitment to delivering commercially sound and operationally sustainable solutions. As an ASX‑listed organisation, Alliance plays a critical role in supporting regional connectivity and essential industries across Australia and the broader region.

About the Role

As the Procurement & Supply Chain Analyst, you’ll play a key role in turning data into insights that make a real difference across the business. You’ll use procurement, inventory and operational data to identify opportunities, improve decision-making and help drive better commercial outcomes.

From owning procurement spend and core reporting to improving data quality across key systems, you’ll provide insights that help reduce costs, optimise working capital and strengthen supplier performance. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business, using your analytical skills to support smarter procurement decisions and help ensure the smooth and reliable operation of our business.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Establish practical data definitions, controls and documentation to support consistent reporting across Procurement and Supply Chain.
  • Monitor and improve data quality across systems, working with system owners and users to resolve gaps, duplicates and inconsistent master data.
  • Use SQL and other appropriate tools to extract, integrate and validate data from operational and financial systems.
  • Develop and maintain the Procurement and Supply Chain KPI architecture, including metric definitions, ownership, reporting frequency and data sources.
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and automated reports that provide clear, timely and decision-ready information.
  • Produce regular performance reporting covering cost, supplier performance, purchasing, inventory, demand, repairs, logistics and service levels.
  • Ensure reports are accurate, controlled, appropriately documented and suitable for operational and executive audiences.
  • Analyse spend, pricing, demand and supplier performance to identify savings, leakage, consolidation and sourcing opportunities.
  • Track procurement initiatives and validate cost reductions, cost avoidance and other benefits in conjunction with Procurement and Finance.
  • Analyse inventory holdings, consumption, demand, lead times and service levels to identify excess, obsolete and slow-moving stock and working-capital opportunities.
  • Monitor repair turnaround time, repair pipeline, component availability and supplier performance to support repairables and rotable planning.
  • Support forecasting, inventory optimisation and operational planning through trend, sensitivity and scenario analysis.
  • Translate complex analysis into clear recommendations, options and actions for procurement, supply-chain and operational stakeholders.
  • Partner with Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance and Technology teams to understand business questions and develop fit-for-purpose analytical solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to automate recurring analysis and improve the efficiency, accuracy and accessibility of reporting.
  • Apply predictive analytics and AI where appropriate, with suitable validation, human oversight and protection of commercially sensitive data.

Who We're Looking For

We’re looking for an experienced analyst with a background in procurement, supply chain, commercial analysis or business intelligence. You’ll have experience developing and managing dashboards, analysing spend, supplier performance and operational data, and working across ERP, finance or procurement systems. You’ll be confident translating complex data into practical recommendations that deliver measurable commercial or operational outcomes.

A tertiary qualification in Data Analytics, Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred, along with a strong understanding of data modelling, visualisation, reporting controls and data quality. Knowledge of commercial modelling, financial reconciliation and supply-chain principles is essential, while relevant Power BI or analytics certifications and experience in aviation, maintenance or other asset-intensive environments will be highly regarded.
