About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Identity Project Manager to lead a large-scale, complex implementation with a strong focus on cyber security, identity and access management.

This role will oversee delivery across multiple technical and business workstreams, coordinating stakeholders, implementation partners and technology vendors to achieve key project outcomes. You will be responsible for project governance, risk management, financial oversight, stakeholder engagement and benefits realisation, ensuring delivery aligns with business objectives and security requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of a large-scale SAP implementation with a security focus.
  • Manage project governance, reporting, risks, issues, dependencies and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate Cyber Security, SAP Security, infrastructure, application and business stakeholders.
  • Oversee implementation partners and multiple technology vendors.
  • Manage complex dependencies across integration, security, infrastructure, data and business change workstreams.
  • Prepare executive and Steering Committee reporting, providing clear updates on project progress, risks and outcomes.
  • Manage business cases, budgets, commercial negotiations and benefits realisation.
  • Ensure delivery aligns with relevant cyber security, audit and regulatory requirements.
  • Support organisational readiness and user adoption throughout the implementation.
Essentials
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale SAP transformation, upgrade, cloud migration or security-related programmes.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex implementations with a strong security focus.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including engagement with executive leaders, cyber security teams, technical specialists and business stakeholders.
  • Experience managing implementation partners, system integrators and multiple technology vendors.
  • Proven ability to manage complex project dependencies across multiple workstreams.
  • Strong project governance, risk management, Steering Committee reporting, audit and compliance experience.
  • Understanding of cyber security principles, including segregation of duties (SoD), identity lifecycle management and privileged access.
  • Experience managing project budgets, business cases, commercial negotiations and benefits realisation.
  • A demonstrated track record of delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills, with the ability to operate effectively in complex environments.
Desirable
  • Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) solutions and governance principles.
  • Experience with SAP IDM, SAP IAG, Microsoft Entra ID, SailPoint, Saviynt or CyberArk.
  • Exposure to organisational change, readiness and user adoption activities.
  • Experience working within the utilities or critical infrastructure sector.
  • A proactive, decisive approach with strong executive presence and the ability to manage competing priorities.
