Are you passionate about privacy and legal risk mitigation and compliance? As our Senior Privacy Compliance Officer, you'll be a trusted subject matter expert, partnering with leaders across the business to strengthen and mature our privacy risk and compliance practices.

Reporting to the Head of Risk & Compliance, you'll join a high performing, trusted team of subject matter experts, and work closely with our Security team, Legal team and business leaders to shape and mature our privacy compliance program, including owning the Privacy Information Management System (compliant to ISO27701:2025) , leading audits, improving control effectiveness, and providing practical guidance and support to all parts of the organisation. . Your contribution will help us meet customer expectations, scale with growing demand and build resilience in an evolving risk and regulatory landscape.

What you'll be doing…

You'll combine hands-on delivery with continuous improvement, helping teams understand their obligations and demonstrate compliance with laws across data security, privacy, and artificial intelligence.

  • Design and improve compliance frameworks to meet legal requirements, in consultation with senior leaders
  • Develop policies and procedures that support responsible business operations, and deliver training to key stakeholders to ensure understanding
  • Partner with teams across the business to share your knowledge of legal obligations, and help teams prepare evidence to support compliance .
  • Seek and maintain certifications, coordinate and lead external audits, and oversee the successful completion of external assessments.
  • Perform internal reviews against agreed scopes, identify risks and issues, and escalate matters to the appropriate leaders.
  • Deliver timely, accurate risk and compliance reports
  • Monitor for changes in the legal landscape, assess their impact and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support our sales and support teams by providing accurate information to prospects and customers, when required.
  • Drive improvements to our compliance program, identify opportunities for control automation and lead initiatives through to completion.

Your Talents…

  • 4 - 8 years of relevant experience supported by tertiary qualifications in law.
  • Advanced knowledge of security, privacy and AI/ML related laws and regulations applicable to Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, the United Kingdom, and Europe. Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail, with the confidence to work autonomously, anticipate needs and deliver improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence, negotiate and present clearly to diverse audiences at all levels.
  • Experience in the technology indusrty, government, higher education or banking and financial services and their regulatory requirements desirable
