We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join our Strategy & Architecture Practice. This is an opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, solve complex technology challenges and collaborate with experienced professionals in an inclusive, supportive environment.

About the Role

As a Solution Architect, you will work closely with our clients and delivery teams on major transformation and technology projects. You will design and govern business technology solutions that meet project objectives, align with enterprise architecture and support our clients' strategic direction.

Depending on the engagement, you may work as part of a Seisma delivery team or directly alongside a client team, providing architecture leadership across the full project lifecycle.

You will bring broad technology and industry experience to develop practical, scalable solution architectures across multiple technologies, platforms and implementation vendors.

What You'll Do

• Develop solution architectures that align with enterprise architecture, project objectives, scope and business requirements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, subject matter experts and technology teams to develop practical and effective solutions.
• Apply relevant technology standards, policies and architectural principles, and facilitate solution approval through appropriate governance processes.
• Work across the full project lifecycle — from discovery and design through to implementation, testing and go-live.
• Provide architectural guidance to delivery teams and vendors, ensuring the agreed solution is understood and implemented effectively.
• Manage architectural deviations and provide guidance on technical decisions throughout implementation.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts and Change Managers to understand and communicate the impact of technology decisions on cost, schedule, requirements and business outcomes.
• Provide technical leadership, advice and support to project and delivery teams.
• Contribute to the broader Strategy & Architecture Practice through knowledge sharing, collaboration and continuous improvement.

What You'll Bring

Essential Skills

• Proven experience developing end-to-end solution architectures across business, information, application and technology domains.
• Strong understanding of architecture frameworks, modelling techniques and standards such as TOGAF, ArchiMate and UML.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.
• Confidence presenting architecture and recommendations to stakeholders, teams and decision-makers.
• Strong stakeholder management, planning and organisational skills.
• A pragmatic, collaborative and can-do approach, with the ability to work effectively in complex and changing environments.
• The ability to balance strategic architecture principles with practical delivery requirements.

Experience

• Demonstrated experience working as a Solution Architect on major technology or transformation projects across the full delivery lifecycle.
• Experience delivering architecture across multiple industries, technologies, platforms and business domains.
• A background in areas such as application development, systems integration, configuration and deployment across on-premises and/or cloud environments.
• Experience working with multiple application platforms, business models and technology ecosystems.
• Experience in areas such as Government, utilities or tertiary education would be highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Relevant technology or architecture certifications are desirable.
