About Role
The Status Resolution Support Service (SRSS) is a Department of Home Affairs-funded program that supports eligible asylum seekers living in the community while they await the outcome of their visa assessment. The program provides targeted support to people experiencing significant vulnerability due to factors such as financial hardship, visa status, health concerns or complex personal circumstances, helping them access essential services and work towards stability and resolution.
About You
The Case Manager (Intake) is responsible for assessing the eligibility and needs of vulnerable asylum seekers applying for SRSS services, completing holistic intake assessments and applications to the Department of Home Affairs, and providing initial case management support through timely case planning for approved applications.
Working within a small specialist team and reporting to the SRSS Intake Team Leader, the role supports single adults and families in the community who are awaiting visa outcomes and experiencing heightened vulnerability due to economic, visa or health circumstances, while also contributing to other program tasks as required, such as acting as an Independent Observer for unaccompanied minors.

Essential Criteria
Bachelor in Community Services/Welfare or related discipline.
Minimum two years’ casework experience, ability to work independently on general tasks with minimal supervision.
Understanding of case management/assessment approaches and theoretical frameworks
Experience working with CALD clients
