About the Role
At Motium, we are committed to building world-class technology solutions and continuously improving the way we work. We are seeking an experienced Systems Manager to lead our technology environment and ensure our systems, infrastructure and digital capabilities support the continued growth and success of the business.
If you are an experienced technology leader who enjoys operating in a hands-on environment, can balance strategic planning with day-to-day operational oversight, and have experience leading small teams while managing external technology partners and service providers, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategic thinking with operational excellence. You will oversee cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, business applications, digital transformation initiatives and emerging technologies, while providing leadership and coordination across the Systems Group and managing key technology partners.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will provide both strategic direction and operational leadership across IT operations, cybersecurity, business systems, governance, artificial intelligence and business continuity.
Your expertise will play a critical role in strengthening organisational resilience, driving innovation and enabling business growth across the organisation.
You will be in a full-time role with flexible working hours based at our office in Bentley.
Your day-to-day will include, but won’t be limited to:
- Shaping and leading our cybersecurity strategy, governance and risk management framework.
- Maintaining reliable, secure and high-performing IT infrastructure and business systems.
- Managing Microsoft 365, business applications and technology platforms across all business functions.
- Driving digital transformation, systems integration and process automation initiatives.
- Establishing governance frameworks for the responsible use of artificial intelligence.
- Developing and maintaining disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities.
- Managing technology vendors, service providers, contracts and licensing requirements.
- Leading, mentoring and developing the Systems Group while coordinating external technology partners.
- Partnering with business leaders, providing strategic technology advice and recommendations to support business objectives and future growth.
What Are We Looking For?
Here are some of the things we think will make you likely to succeed in this role:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in business systems, information technology, or technology leadership roles.
- Demonstrated experience leading cybersecurity, risk management and information security initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, cloud technologies, networks, servers and business-critical applications.
- Experience driving digital transformation, systems integration, automation and continuous improvement projects.
- Understanding of artificial intelligence technologies and the governance processes required for their responsible use.
- Experience managing technology vendors, service providers, software licensing and commercial contracts.
- Strong leadership skills with experience leading small teams and coordinating external technology partners.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into practical business solutions.
- Experience developing and maintaining disaster recovery, business continuity and governance frameworks.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a passion for innovation and emerging technologies.
Desirable:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related discipline.
- Industry certifications such as Microsoft, CISSP, CISM, ITIL, Azure or cybersecurity-related qualifications.
- Experience working within DISP environments.
- Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering or technology-driven environment.

- Chances for growth and progression: As Motium continues to grow in every facet, you will grow with us. There will be plenty of ways for you to achieve your career goals and targets. Hear that? That’s the sound of opportunity calling your name.
Here are 4 reasons we are afraid you might not want to join us:
- We operate in a high-feedback environment. You will be required to challenge, be challenged and face challenges. We recognise that this approach is not for everyone.
- Motium is growing. As such, not all our policies and procedures are shiny and well-polished. We are a work-in-progress and catching up as quick as we can. However, if you find it difficult to work without 100% of the processes outlined, this role might not be for you.
- We are agile, fast, and quick to react when we see problems. We expect everyone to take ownership of their own mistakes, and help deliver a successful, quality resolution.
- We take pride in what we do and aim to deliver highest quality solution possible for the problem. This requires a high level of attention to detail.
