Help shape digital services that support intelligence practitioners and partner agencies.
We are seeking an experienced Service Designer to support a major Federal Government client with offices in Sydney, Canberra and Adelaide.
Apply your Service Design, UX and Human-Centred Design (HCD) expertise to create accessible, effective end-to-end digital services across complex operational environments.
What you’ll do- Conduct user research, facilitate workshops and lead usability testing to understand user needs.
- Develop personas, journey maps and service blueprints to inform service design.
- Translate research insights into actionable requirements and user stories.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects and delivery teams to shape solutions.
- Ensure services meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility requirements and align with digital service standards.
- Support Agile delivery through Scrum, SAFe or Lean UX practices.
- A current NV1, NV2 or TSPV security clearance — mandatory.
- A strong background in Service Design, UX and HCD, with experience designing end-to-end services.
- Proficiency in Figma, Miro, Visio or similar tools.
- Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
- Knowledge of accessibility requirements and digital service standards.
- Strong research, facilitation and collaboration skills, with the ability to turn complex findings into clear design outcomes.
Experience in law enforcement, intelligence, defence or other highly regulated environments will be highly regarded.
