This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Analista QA Pleno (Mid-Level QA Analyst) based in Brazil.
In this role, you will help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications through structured testing and continuous quality improvement. You will analyze application behavior, identify potential defects, and develop a strong understanding of how systems function internally. Working with development teams in an agile environment, you will contribute to both manual and automated testing activities to detect issues early and reduce software risks. You will use SQL, scripting languages, and test automation tools to validate functionality and strengthen testing coverage. Your work will help deliver dependable software solutions that meet technical requirements and user expectations. Accountabilities
- Analyze software applications to understand their functionality, architecture, expected behavior, and potential failure points.
- Design, plan, and execute software testing activities to verify application quality, functionality, reliability, and compliance with defined requirements.
- Identify, document, and report defects, inconsistencies, and unexpected application behavior, providing clear information to support investigation and resolution.
- Develop and execute automated tests when appropriate to improve testing efficiency, repeatability, and overall coverage.
- Apply testing methodologies and quality assurance best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Use test automation tools to validate application functionality, detect regressions, and support continuous quality improvement.
- Apply SQL knowledge to query, inspect, and validate data, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of application outputs.
- Use scripting languages and basic programming concepts to support test execution, automation, and troubleshooting.
- Work collaboratively with developers and other stakeholders in agile teams to clarify requirements, investigate issues, and improve software quality.
- Evaluate application behavior against expected outcomes, challenge assumptions, and explore edge cases to uncover potential risks.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing strategies, processes, documentation, and quality standards.
- Education: Completed higher education in Information Technology or a related field, including a technology degree, bachelor's degree, postgraduate specialization, or master's or doctoral qualification.
- Professional experience: Previous experience working as a mid-level Software Test Analyst or QA Analyst, with practical knowledge of software testing and quality assurance.
- Agile methodologies: Experience working with agile software development methodologies and collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Automated testing: Knowledge and practical experience developing, implementing, and executing automated tests.
- Software quality assurance: Demonstrated experience applying testing principles and quality assurance practices to identify defects and validate application behavior.
- Test automation tools: Hands-on experience using test automation tools to improve efficiency, consistency, and testing coverage.
- SQL proficiency: Strong SQL knowledge, including the ability to query and validate data and investigate potential inconsistencies.
- Scripting
skills
Knowledge of scripting languages to support test automation, application analysis, and troubleshooting. - Technical understanding: Basic knowledge of common programming languages and the ability to understand application logic, identify possible failure scenarios, and reason about software behavior.
- Analytical thinking: Strong attention to detail and the ability to investigate complex issues, test assumptions, and identify unexpected application behavior.
- Communication and teamwork: Ability to document findings clearly, communicate technical issues effectively, and collaborate with development teams to resolve defects.
- Mandatory certification
- Candidates must hold at least one software testing certification issued by one of the following recognized organizations:
- ISTQB — International Software Testing Qualifications Board.
- QAI Global Institute — Quality Assurance Institute.
- ALATS — Associação Latino-Americana de Teste de Software.
- IBQTS — Instituto Brasileiro de Qualidade em Testes de Software.
- IIST — International Institute for Software Testing.
