Your ability to understand client needs, market trends, and competitive dynamics will help drive cross-sell, expansion, and recurring revenue growth.

This is an autonomous, entrepreneurial opportunity for an experienced software sales professional who thrives on ambitious quotas and building long-term customer partnerships.

Accountabilities:

  • Own and manage a high-value pipeline of software license expansion opportunities across an assigned SLED customer portfolio.
  • Grow existing software adoption while identifying cross-sell opportunities across the broader product portfolio.
  • Conduct strategic account reviews and roadmap discussions with key stakeholders to align solutions with long-term organizational priorities.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with executive, technical, procurement, and other senior decision-makers within strategic accounts.
  • Partner with Solutions Engineers to understand customer requirements and develop tailored solutions for complex enterprise environments.
  • Research market trends, competitor positioning, customer needs, and account intelligence to inform sales strategies.
  • Identify high-value opportunities and develop account-specific go-to-market strategies that support sustainable growth.
  • Navigate public sector procurement processes, budget cycles, compliance considerations, and complex stakeholder environments.
  • Maintain accurate sales activity, opportunities, and forecasting information in Salesforce.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales quotas through strategic planning, relationship management, and disciplined execution.
  • Represent the organization at relevant industry events and key customer meetings, with light travel as required.
  • Requirements

    • 6+ years of proven success in account management and complex B2B software sales, with a consistent record of exceeding multi-year quotas.
    • At least 3 years focused on managing enterprise accounts and generating new business, expansion, and cross-sell opportunities within existing customers.
    • Demonstrated experience selling software solutions to State, Local, and/or Higher Education customers.
    • Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes, budget cycles, compliance requirements, and multi-stakeholder decision-making.
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, including the ability to engage effectively through digital channels.
    • Proven consultative selling approach and ability to engage technical CXOs and senior executives.
    • Strong prospecting and sales-tool proficiency, including platforms such as Outreach, Dooly, Sales Navigator, and ZoomInfo.
    • Proficiency with Salesforce CRM and disciplined sales-cycle management.
    • Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining strong individual accountability and a results-driven mindset.
    • Strong market and competitive intelligence skills with the ability to translate insights into account strategies.
    • A college or university degree, preferably in a technical discipline.
    • Willingness to travel occasionally for industry events and key client meetings.
    • Benefits

      • Total compensation of $150,000–$220,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
      • Uncapped commission structure.
      • Company-paid health, dental, and vision benefits for employees and their families.
      • Generous paid time off to support rest and recharge.
      • Annual recurring work-from-home allowance for home office needs.
      • Ongoing learning and development support to help you strengthen your expertise.
      • Choice of Windows or Mac hardware.
      • Highly autonomous and entrepreneurial work environment.
      • Collaborative team culture with significant career growth potential.
      • Diverse and inclusive workplace focused on learning and collaboration.
      • Opportunity to work with enterprise and public sector customers on complex software expansion initiatives.
