Rayner Construction Services (RCS) is an award-winning general contractor and construction manager headquartered in Calgary, with a second office in Burnaby. Our Calgary division has a wide variety of current and upcoming projects. These include government facility renovations, office interiors, tenant improvements, restaurant builds and fit-outs, and school board projects.

What you'll do

  • Support the project team with coordination and day-to-day project administration
  • Handle safety paperwork, shop drawings, RFIs, purchase orders, change notices and closeout documents
  • Organize, attend and take minutes at project meetings with the Project Manager
  • Solve problems and keep projects moving
  • Review construction documents and keep everyone informed
  • Keep files, logs and records accurate and up to date

Good to know

  • Hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 to 4:30, with a 1-hour lunch. Some weekend work may be needed.
  • About 10% travel
  • The successful candidate will need a clear criminal record check, which can be done after an offer.

Requirements

  • 4+ years as a Project Coordinator in commercial construction
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Project)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience reading contracts, specifications, RFIs and change orders
  • The ability to work closely with superintendents, office staff and field staff
  • Strong organization and time management, and you work well under pressure
  • A valid driver's licence
